Identifying alpine species during a vegetation survey on Pitamakan Peak in the Two Medicine region of the park for the Global Observation Research Initiative in Alpine Environments (GLORIA) project. GLORIA surveys are conducted in the same locations every four years to study changes in vegetation patterns on conical mountaintops all over the world. Photographs are used to verify that each plot is set up in the precise location of previous surveys.
