The following education experts appear in this video:

Dale Allender is an assistant professor at California State University in Sacramento, where he teaches in the College of Education. He is also the director of the West Coast office of the National Council of Teachers of English. His additional work centers on multicultural literature, media literacy, and cultural studies.

Christina Dobbs is a clinical assistant professor at Boston University, where she teaches courses in teaching reading and writing at the middle and secondary school level. Her research focuses on academic language development writing instruction. She is also a literacy coach and reading specialist.

Jacy Ippolito is an assistant professor in the Adolescent Education and Leadership Department at Salem State University in Massachusetts. He teaches courses in adolescent literacy, literacy coaching, and educational leadership. He conducts research on literacy coaching and teacher leadership and also consults as a coach/reading specialist in K–12 schools.

Barbara Moss is a professor of literacy education in the School of Teacher Education at San Diego State University. Her areas of research include literacy instruction related to disciplinary literacy, the use of children’s literature in the classroom, and literacy coaching.

Hiller Spires is a professor of literacy and technology at North Carolina State University in the Department of Curriculum and Instruction. She studies the integration of new technologies to illustrate best practices for digital literacy learning.
