Past Partnerships & Programs

In addition to providing free educational and professional development resources for K-12 educators and students through our website, Annenberg Learner also supports mission-aligned partners and programs. Please view the list of past partnerships and programs below for more information.

Annenberg Learner is a proud coalition partner of CAA Ready Set and the National Partnership for Student Success (NPSS), a nationwide tutor, mentor and service recruitment campaign that addresses the loss of learning and relational mentors among K-12 public school students in the US. The goal is to connect students with tutors and mentors, particularly those who live in historically marginalized communities.

All LAUSD teachers and students now have free access to the award-winning Discovery Education Experience platform, which will incorporate selections from Learner’s vast array of engaging educational content. These combined resources will assist educators in instructing students in any learning environment, helping them to have an equitable opportunity to continue their education during the pandemic.

The Civics Renewal Network is a consortium of nonpartisan, nonprofit organizations, including Annenberg Learner, committed to strengthening civic life in the U.S. by increasing the quality of civics education in our nation’s schools and by improving accessibility to high-quality, no-cost learning materials.

During the 2017-20 school years, LAUSD students created digital games to address issues impacting their communities. The program added in-school and out-of-school virtual opportunities for students to learn game design during the 2020-21 school year, including a city-wide competition.

Annenberg Learner is providing free access to hands-on science, arts, and tech resources from Two Bit Circus Foundation that focus specifically on STEAM learning. Explore over 150 of Two Bit Circus’ projects through our Project Playbook page.

Annenberg Learner was proud to sponsor for a second year StoryCorps’ The Great Thanksgiving Listen in 2016. More than 100,000 individuals from all 50 states took part in our national education project that empowers high school students to record conversations with a grandparent or another elder over a single holiday weekend.

Annenberg Learner joined The Education (Re)Open supporting students, teachers, parents, and school administrators with crowdsourced solutions to educational challenges due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The collaboration resulted in the Education Solutions Exchange, a public repository of ideas that address numerous academics challenges facing public schools.
