Expert birdwatcher Geoff Carpentier reports on March 3/13:
Up in the hinterland where I live, east of Uxbridge, Ontario, the Cardinals are singing, the Downies and Hairies (woodpeckers) are drumming, the Mourning Doves are cooing, the Ravens are courtship flying, a pair of Red-tailed Hawks has returned. The first spring Robin appeared today.
The hinterland is located near the junction of Reach and Lakeridge Roads east of Uxbridge
