I am not familiar with the Private Universe Project in Math. I am an old
math teacher and teach a course at the Athenaeum at Rochester Institute of
Technology. You have to be over 50 to be in the course. The name of the course is
"Math is fun for you and your grandkids". I use a variety of stuff, like
    Fibonacci, Moebius strips etc.

Can you fill me in on the PUP idea?
