WHAT YOU NEED:

A sunny day when the moon is visible.
A sunny, outdoor location.
A tennis ball.

WHAT TO DO:

Stand facing the moon.
Stand outdoors in a sunny location.
Hold the tennis ball at arms length, up next to the moon in the sky.

WHAT NEXT . . .

The sun will shine on the tennis ball and illuminate it exactly as it illuminates the moon.

It is such a simple demonstration. Adults think it's neat. Kids do too.
