About the Experiment

Experiment Title: What kind of liquids wil seed sprout in?

Conditions:

1. diet coke with 20 Navy beans
2. lemonade with 20 Navy beans
3. diet coke with 20 presoaked Navy beans
4. lemonade with 20 presoaked Navy beans

Experimental Predictions:

My questionas are as follows? 1. Will Navy beans sprout in Coca Cola or lemonade? 2. Does pre-soaking the beans speed up the possibility of germination.

 

Experiment Methods and Procedure:

Day I 1.Placed 20 beans in clear glass cup filled with water in order to soak for 1 day. 2. Placed 18 dried beans in plastic cup filled with lemonade. 3. Placed dried beans in plastic cup filled with diet coca cola. Day 2 1. Transferred 18 soaked beans to cup filled with diet coke 2. Transferred 18 soaked beans to cup filled with lemonade. Total of 4 cups.
