| Workshop 7: Responding to Writing: Peer to PeerVelvet McReynolds' Reflections PATS helps, because it actually tells you what to say. In earlier years when I would try writing workshop and it was time for response groups, they either wanted to go straight to editing because everybody knows, you know, not everybody, but they could figure out where a period went or a capital letter, or they wanted to do the critique part and not the support part. Well, if you knew that you were going to be torn down every time you shared, then you'd be reticent to share—I mean, nobody wants that. So that's one of the reasons that that particular feedback sheet works for me, because there's two places on there for you to say something very kind and supportive.
