Hi.
It is refreshing to know that you are having a good time with your students and showing them another way to learn. I've been doing these techniques for years. Remember: don't let any of these "do nothing" teachers tell you that what you are doing is old-fashioned. What they are actually saying is: "I don't teach; why are you?" Do what you know is right for your students.

I think it is a great idea to have students perform a novel to express their understanding. I am quite dramatically-challenged, so I think I would have a hard time modeling this. Any suggestions?
