Our students read Anne Frank in 8th grade.  They coordinate with 
literature and English (We have 2 separate courses), but not any other 
subject particularly.  Between the two, however, they cover social 
studies, math, reading, and writing.  They have a wonderful unit, though 
I don't know all the particulars.
