In the teaching of Biology I too have come across the sexual inuendos and
words in the classroom and I have found that if I just say them, present the
facts or definitions and then move on there is very little giggling that
continues. While these words are necessary in the study of anatomy I do not
feel that in choosing literature that it must be present. Language, on the
other hand is sometimes necessary to get the mood across and while I do not
like it I have found that if I down play it the students tend to also.
