I haven't had to deal with the controversies directly but
know that my former principal fielded questions about our
using DIARY OF ANNE FRANK and BEOWULF. He deflected any
objections by using common sense.

Do your ninth graders enjoy I KNOW WHY THE CAGED BIRD SINGS?
Do you have any supplementary materials that you use?
