In our district (Arlington, VA) we have a procedure for putting books on
lists for classroom and supplemental use. It involves a standing committee
of educators and citizens. They approve or disapprove and they generally
approve, because this is a fairly well-educated and liberal area.

By the way, I retired from teaching before the Potter series came out.

I suggest that you email the teacher in CA who is in the video -- Dirk.

    Good luck!
