Colorado State University offers graduate-level semester credits to those who view the complete sequence of video sessions, download the support materials and participate in the discussion questions, homework problems and activities therein, and complete the additional required coursework assignments for any of our workshops/courses.
Registering and Fees
To register for credit, please click on the course in which you are interested from the list below. This will bring you to the online registration process of the Colorado State University Division of Continuing Education. Tuition is currently $196 for 2 credit courses and $294 for 3 credit courses, plus a $20 technology fee per semester. You can call us toll free at 1-877-491-4336 with any questions.
When to Begin Course Work
Students will receive an e-mail confirmation from CSU regarding their registration but they will not receive any other notification about beginning the course. It is the student's responsibility to print support materials (guides) and view the series in enough time to finish coursework and submit it by the due date. Once registered for CSU credit, the student should begin viewing the series immediately by selecting the course registered for. In addition, the student should print the course requirements and support materials (workshop or course guide) by locating their course below. Scroll (down the page) and follow the links to the course (choose support materials) and the course requirements link under the appropriate discipline section (e.g. Educational Theory and Issues, Math, etc.).
Credit Limit
You cannot receive credit for the same workshop or course twice. As each graduate level credit represents 15 class hours plus homework time, you are limited to 5 credits per semester (two 2-credit workshops, or one 3-credit course and one 2-credit workshop). Most Annenberg Learner workshops and courses through Colorado State University are offered under the course number of EDUC 591 with the different discipline areas signified by the different sub-section letters "C, D, E, & F" with section numbers specifying each series. Please retain email confirmations and instructions you will receive after enrolling online for your records and future reference.
Schedules
You may choose the future semester in which you receive credit. You may begin or even complete the course work (including watching the video programs) before enrolling in order to give yourself sufficient time to complete the work within the semester you choose. Once you enroll, you will be placed into the corresponding semester. See the chart below for the "last day to enroll" dates. CSU has a continuous, semester-based, open-entry system of registration for the Annenberg Learner courses.
Postmarking your completed coursework by the listed date will guarantee that the work will be reviewed in time for you to receive credit on a transcript at the end of the semester. If you cannot finish the work by the noted "date to mail coursework," please contact your instructor to arrange review outside of the usual marking period. You have a period of six months from the date you register to turn in your work. CSU is no longer able to process semester changes or grant refunds of tuition for those who withdraw.
