Re: [Channel-talkforce] MIAMI-DADE PARTICIPANTS

Hi. This is Andrea Fresco. I am using Mary's email to contact you. I work as a part-time teacher and the district will not give me an email. The last time I did this, the instructor used my home email. It is adzteach@aol.com. My phone number is 1-305-453-0371. I am excited to start the course. Thank you. Andrea Fresco

Yours is the first email I've received; however, the programs weren't supposed to be viewed until today, so I'm not sure if any emails were sent previously.

One topic I'd like to discuss with other teachers is how to go about having students remember the difference between mass and volume. Do you have any activities or pneumonic devices for teaching mass and volume? How do your students remember the units that mass and volume are measured in?

I normally teach a unit on density, which we spend a lot of time on, before delving into force and gravity. Still, many student struggle with the measurements.

                Thank you,
