Dear Melissa,
 The listserv for channel-talkeconomics depends on who is using the
course at the same time as you. It may be that not many people are
doing so. Messages from previous participants are archived on the Web
site and those people would still be part of the listserv unless they
have unsubscribed.
But you do not have to worry that you are missing anything.
