[Channel-talkeconomics] Workshop 8 Growth & Entrepreneurship
Good evening,
I am interested in this workshop because my school has a thriving
entrepreneurship course. The teacher that is presently teaching it requires
the students to donate their earnings to a charity of their choice. The
business that they create are geared toward the target market of the high
school students. What I find so exciting is watching the quiet students find
their voice in this course. I spend much time observing this class.
>From the Workshop, I would have liked to have had the Entrepreneurship section
present more clearly the steps that the teacher has the students go through in
order to create their business. He and the students presented words like
business plan, competitive advantage, and income statement. However, they did
not go into explaining those elements as well as others that were not
mentioned.
Do any of you have successful Entrepreneurship programs in your schools?
Do any of you have a bank in your school?
My former school, Masconomet Regional High School in Topsfield, MA, has had a
bank for years. If you have one, do you find it helpful to your students?
Thanks for your responses!
Sincerely,
David Gavron
