Dear Economics Classroom Participants:
I am the Colorado State University instructor for the Economics
Classroom Annenberg course. As you know, this is a new class, and I
have been viewing videos of the workshops each week--the same as you. I
have worked on projects in the past to develop "active-learning" lessons
for high school economics, and so at the outset of this class I was very
curious to find out how good the workshops would be. Now, after seeing
several of them, I can say that I am quite impressed with the quality.
The focus is clearly on how to make your classroom more exciting to
students with concrete, and I believe, very practical examples of
simulations and activities. I would love to hear your opinion of the
workshops. And if you have any questions or comments about any specific
portion of the workshops, I would be happy to respond to those, too.
