The primary materials needed for this unit will be found locally. They include written materials prepared by the campaigns, stories about the candidates in the press, candidates’ appearances at community sites, and so forth. It will be helpful for students to have some basic information about the governance structure in your community and about the specific responsibilities of the various officials.
