Hi Elyse,
I'm doing this on my own for graduate credit. In order to get continuing education credit as a workshop, you have to actually view the videos with a group. So I paid the $170 to Colorado State U. I made the mistake of signing up for the summer session, which ended July 20 (and I signed up around July 1 - should have read it more carefully) but getting an incomplete and an extension was no problem - I just emailed the prof who reviews your work.

Another reason to get the extension is that one of the assignments is to use one of the strategies in class and reflect on it. I won't be able to do that until school starts. Sounds like Jim and Bill have some ideas, though!

Hi All,
I don't know anybody yet, but I just started to watch the videos. I teach
an 8th grade civics class, but my thesis was on democratic education so this
is right up my alley.
I'm doing this myself, so wondering, did you do this for graduate credit, or
as a workshop?
Also, have you tried any strategies, or have any tips for the classroom?
