[Channel-talkchemistry] Reactions in chemistry workshop #8

I continue to see the importance of creating a classroom climate that students feel safe to ask and answer question and students see the connection between them and the chemistry topic. Humor and fun are important and I think each of us have our own style. I think the better we know the content and are confident that we can answer student questions the more our personality comes through. One of the discussion between three teachers on the video really rang true for me. That we all have to, in order to be an effective teacher, continue to look for better ways to get our point across to our students. Students respect a teacher that show enthusiasm and is will to try different approaches. I think that willingness come from a confident teacher. "... Important to continually expand their knowledge base to engage students in learning more effectively..."
