[Channel-talkchemistry] Reactions in chemistry workshop #6
The reading assignment on Linus Pauling and protein folding was very
interesting and useful in my both of my chemistry classes. We are working
on electronegativity and chemical bonds. The connection to polar and
nonpolar groups and the shapes and uses of proteins make this concept very
relevant. The discussion we are have about various disease like Alzheimer,
Cystic fibrosis, Mad Cow disease and emphysema really make this relevant
them. The complexity and the need for high speed computers to model these
proteins also has peaked my students interest.
