Hi everyone
I love the glue-ball idea for the first day of chem class. I've also
done a similar activity with cornstarch and water demonstrating change
from liquid to solid depending on whether you are slowly stirring it or
sharply hitting it. Also another good observation first day is
mothballs in a tall graduated cylinder with CaCl_2
and HCl ...then have the students oserve what happens ...good
observation vs inference!
I've been watching for postings but havent seen any new ones since the
last class in Jan.
