I am having trouble posting to this website this week about workshop four. Please forgive me by trying to see if I can post a message by replying to this one.
Thanks,

Subject: [Channel-talkchemistry] Signing in from Georgia
Hi everybody! There are 9 of us doing the Annenberg course here in Cherokee County, Georgia (just north of Atlanta). We purchased the videotapes when the local PBS station decided not to carry them. We have really been enjoying the mix of content and observation of chemistry teachers actually at work doing inquiry activities. We are a mix of 5 middle school science teachers and 4 HS science teachers. Our school system is moving physical science to the MS and we have a number of MS science teachers who want to refresh and improve their knowledge of chemistry. Our school system sponsored the course and we are receiving SDU's. Does anyone know a comparable course which would be good for improving/refreshing physics knowledge for MS teachers?
We are also doing demonstration experiments and our discussions are a blend of answering questions about science content, curriculum development and plans, comparing notes about how we teach as individuals, how we differ from school to school and teaching methodology. I think we have all been "lurking" on the discussion board so far so as the group coordinator I thought I would break the ice.
