About the Teachers' Lab

The goal of the Teachers' Lab is to provide teachers and educators with a deeper understanding of commonly taught math and science concepts. Many of the Labs are based upon professional development workshops broadcast on the Annenberg Channel.

Each lab will combine online activities with background information, interactive polls or worksheets participants can use in their classroom, plus links to related material. The Teachers' Lab is funded by the Annenberg Media Math and Science Project and provided free on its website, Learner Online. Providing high-quality professional development materials and resources for math and science teachers has been a goal of the Annenberg Media Math and Science Project since its inception in 1991.

Each lab focuses on different teaching methodologies and content that participants can use in their classrooms. The Teachers' Lab website will continue to grow as new labs are added each season in June 1999, September 1999 and January, 2000. For more information about the Teachers' Lab and other professional development materials, please contact us at labinfo@learner.org.

Please visit the Annenberg Channel's website for a list of professional development workshops being broadcast on the Channel. You will also find links to the Teachers' Labs which have been developed to supplement each workshop. Find out how you can get these workshop videos for free by visiting the Channel.
