Standard
9: The characteristics, distribution, and migration
of human populations on Earth's surface.
Standard
11: The patterns and networks of economic interdependence
on Earth's surface.
The
video program illustrates both the historic and modern
migration patterns in Australia and Singapore, and is
a study of the patterns of human interaction in the
region of Southeast Asia and South Pacific. Mirroring
these human networks are the patterns of economic development
that both countries are establishing as they evolve
to meet the challenges of a global economy.
