Laos: Isolated Heart examines the circumstances of a country constrained by its physical location. The physical geography of this landlocked agrarian country influences the opportunities of Laos' citizens. The second case study, Vietnam: Fertile Dreams, shows how Vietnam is exploiting the unique physical geography of the Mekong Delta to become the second largest exporter of rice in the world.
