Brooklyn Center, Minnesota Northport Elementary (45 North, 93 West) March 12, 2009 An unusual cold snap in Minnesota and temperatures went below zero! Gardeners at Northport Elementary's 4th grade in Brooklyn Center sent this photograph of their tulip garden, along with a message: "It was -14F this morning in Minnesota with a new coating of snow on Tuesday. It is hard to imagine tulips emerging any time in the near future. We'll keep dreaming..."
