| Male or Female Robin? The male robin is brighter in color than the female. Her feathers look washed out and faded compared to the darker, richer colors of the male. The female robin must be well camouflaged in order be safe from predators as she incubates her eggs. This is why females of many bird species are less brightly colored than the males. |
