Hummer Mystery: The Real Story Here's what happened: A bird-lover in Wisconsin found a hummingbird in her garage. It was very thin because it had no food to eat. She tried many tricks to try to get the bird to eat. She brought in a flower and a hummingbird feeder. She even put sweet, red hummingbird food in a tiny glass. Then, when she climbed up and reached her hand out, the hummingbird jumped onto her finger! He took a big drink from the glass. She could see his body get fatter and fatter as it filled up with the food (nectar)! Did anything surprise you? What part did you like best?
