What Do the Maps Tell Us?
Look at the first map below. It shows where Ilsa was reported (New York) and where another January rufous was reported in Wisconsin.

Now look at the second map. The orange, purple, and yellow colors shows where rufous hummingbirds usually spend the winter.

Think: Why were these reported sightings unusual? How would you explain them?
