Day 22: Empty Nest Both babies left! See how the nest has stretched out from when it was first used! Now the babies won't be needing it anymore. Q: Where do the babies sleep after they leave the nest? (Answer under photo.) A. They will start sleeping on a branch, protected from wind and rain by leaves. If one is a male, he won't EVER sleep in a nest again! If one is a female, she'll be in a nest only when she is incubating her own eggs some day.
