Whale researcher, Wayne Perryman, was in New Zealand this winter, studying
and photographing sperm whales. "This is a photo from the hexacopter of a
sperm whale male with the tag boat behind it. The image was taken from a
small unmanned platform that we were using to see if we could collect
images of adequate quality for monitoring size and shape of sperm whales
without manned aircraft support. I was part of the flight team."—Wayne Perryman
