Pg 6- Back Home!

When Laura woke up in the morning, the first thing she did was check to see if Miranda was still there. And there she was! Miranda's back looked a little wet and muddy. Laura wondered if she had hopped down to the pond to lay her eggs and mate. If she hopped straight there, she'd have to go about 300 meters to reach the water's edge, and then come back again. After a busy night of searching for a male with a good song, and then depositing her eggs in a safe place, she was back at her own safe home, watching and listening and chomping down bugs and worms.
