All Eyes on the Eagle
  • There is so much to see here: strong, sharp claws (called talons), white tail feathers, big and strong-looking legs. What else did you notice?
  • We see the talons are built to grip and hold on to branches. What else could they hold on to?
  • We see the tail is spread out. We think the bird is going to take off flying, or has just landed. The tail helps balance the bird.
  • We think the bird is way up high in a tree. From a high perch the eagle can better see all around to look for food.
