Preparing for Migration
Keeping Crane Chicks Healthy

  Here's what we know:

During the health exam, each chick gets a temporary radio transmitter on its left leg. This is attached to a colored and numbered leg band.

The transmitters will help the migration team track any chick that gets separated during the upcoming journey south. They don't want to risk losing a single one!
