Fog and Wind: No Go
Heavy localized fog this morning delayed any type of departure until 9:00 a.m. Once
the fog cleared, two trikes went up to test the conditions. They got bounced around
at altitudes above 350 ft, and the closer they got to the high ridge to the south,
the worse it became. On site in Cumberland County, TN with the team, Heather Ray
said, "It would be tough getting the birds to climb to the altitude necessary
to climb the ridge in this type of rough air, so it was decided to stand down and
hope for better conditions tomorrow."
