Meet Tom Stehn!  Tom Stehn is the Whooping Crane Coordinator at Aransas NWR. He works for the US Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS). Tom is co-leader of the International Crane Recovery Team. The team is part of a partnership of groups helping to bring whooping cranes back from the brink of extinction. See any whooping cranes?   This map shows the 115,000-acre refuge where the world's last remaining natural, migratory flock of whooping cranes spends winter.
