1. Aransas National Wildlife Refuge, Texas
(The main flock's winter home, April through October)
2. Lake Kissimmee, Florida (All year round; home of reintroduced nonmigratory flock)
3. Necedah National Wildlife Refuge, Wisconsin (The new Eastern flock's summer home, May-November)

What to Include in Your Report
  • Did you see the birds yourself? If not, do you have contact information for those who did?
  • Did the cranes have any visible leg bands?
  • What colortaion details did you see (especially wing and head colors)?
  • What was the date and time of the sighting?
  • Were binoculars used? How far away were the cranes?
  • What behaviors were the birds doing?
