Each student has "adopted" an individual crane from the class of 2006. Here's their bulletin board with printouts of crane life story pages (a Journey North exclusive for every bird in the Eastern flock. "Bio" pages are kept updated as long as the crane lives. Students write in their Journey North download-and-print crane migration journals. A 3-ring binder with plastic sleeves holds the Journey North printouts so hard copies are at hand for use in a "crane center" any time.
