Until his retirement in October 2009, Brian Johns was a Canadian Wildlife Service biologist with 36 years of helping Whooping cranes. He oversaw the Whooping cranes each summer on their vast Canadian nesting grounds in Wood Buffalo National Park. Brian was also the Canadian Leader of the International Whooping Crane Recovery Team.
