No Go: Tomorrow Looks Good! (+0 Miles)
November 19, 2011: Migration Day 42

Students display their pizza topped with a crane's favorite foods.

Today's winds are again strong from the south, meaning headwinds. There's a better outlook for tomorrow, though! The winds are about to swing around and come from the north. They would give a nice push southward if they aren't too strong for the birds and planes to FINALLY take off. The birds have been eating crane chow during their 15 days in Livingston County, Illinois. They've also been finding choice tidbits in the mud and grass of their pen.

Today's photo: These Maclay Elementary students in Claire Timm's class made a pizza topped with a crane's favorite foods. What do you see? Click the photo for more.

In the Classroom: Journal or Discussion
