Winds have turned around to blow from the south. After three days of moving ahead, the planes and cranes are down for day 1 in Winnebago County, Illinois. A year ago today, south winds also kept them stuck—for the 11th day in Winnebago County, setting a new record for down days! They had arrived on Oct. 19, migration day 10. Let's hope today is just a day off for pumpkin play. Meanwhile, bio pages have been updated for all cranes. And did you see the other great news in yesterday's report?

In the Classroom: Journal or Discussion
