Airborne Again! (+55 Miles)
October 31, 2010: Migration Day 22

A record-breaking streak of downdays in Winnebago County ended when pilot Joe Duff took off with 10 birds locked onto his wingtips! Today's stop: LaSalle County, IL,. Just short of the goal, #6-10 dropped down but pilot Richard picked her up and he finished the flight just fine. The birds were in the air for 1 hour and 57 minutes. We're now at 185.4 total miles into the journey south. Alas, crane #2 traveled via crate; read the latest on his bio page. GO CRANES!

The TrikeCam broadcasts LIVE each day they fly.

In the Classroom:

Today is Sunday. No school.
Happy Halloween!
