Sorry, but today is no different from the past six. It's too windy. And the team was clearing snow off the wings in the middle of the night! Seven days in one stopover site ties a record with the 2004 migration. Will a new record be set, or will it remain tied? We'll see tomorrow.

In the Classroom

  • Today's Journal Questions: What did Laurie notice about crane #608 this week? In what ways might the birds be affected by such a long time in the travel pen?
  • Record Keeping: Where was the team downed for seven days in the 2004 migration? In what other states did they have long delays?
