How to Add to the Symbolic Migration Map

Students: Watch your hometown on the Symbolic Migration map. When a dot appears it means someone has found your butterfly. Click on the dot, and read the message from your new friends.

Teachers: Your class has received butterflies that were made last fall by students in Canada and the United States. Please use the reporting form below to mark each student’s hometown on the Symbolic Migration map. You can also leave a message to tell the student where you live and that you have received his/her butterfly. (Click here for detailed instructions.)

You will need to complete this form multiple times to mark the different location of each butterfly that you received. Thank you in advance for taking time to do this! Children will be thrilled to find their butterflies.
