Saw a flock of about 50 cranes, in a "v" shape heading north. I must be in their flight pattern because I see them heading south in the winter, and then coming back north in the spring. I always hear them before I see them - they have a distinctive call, and that alerts me. Each time they fly directly over my home. I count myself very lucky when I happen to be in the right place at the right time to catch their migration!
