| I'm sending this report for a colleague, Brent Sutherland, whose Dad observed a Robin in Thunder Bay, Ontario. TB is on the north shore of Lake Superior within shouting distance of the Minnesota border. The robin was in a mountain ash in Don Sutherland's yard, though there were no berries on the tree. Temperature was -27 degrees C, up from -31 earlier that morning!! Here in southern Ontario, nearly 1500 km south of Thunder Bay, common redpolls, American tree sparrows and Bohemian waxwings have not yet begun their trip home to the Hudson Bay Lowlands. | |||
