It was very cold and windy (no higher than 20º) most of the day, and I had made at least 8 trips out to the patio with hot water to keep the bird baths thawed. My efforts were rewarded when 10 very plump-looking robins showed up to bathe and eat some of the berries remaining on the Japanese holly. Always so lovely to see them in the depths of winter! Spring's not really that far behind once they show up...
