Saturday, September 22, is the Fall (Autumnal) Equinox--and a day to collect observations listed on your Fall Phenology Checklist. Collect the following information listed on your Fall Phenology Checklist: Astronomical Data--Photoperiod & length of shadow at noon Meterological Data--Temperatures (the day's high, low & average) Phenological Data--Review the Fall Checklist and note the changes in animals, plants and other living things. Stick Around! If you don't do anything else--measure the sun's shadow! You will be amazed at the changes in sunlight we're about to experience. The Phenology Data Exchange Each month, carefully observe the seasonal changes outlined on the Phenology Checklist. Then pair up with a partner class and exchange the information you have collected. Using nature's clues, can you find your partner? Shhhh·It's a Secret Rather than tell your students where your partner school is located, keep this a secret.
